I strongly advise that you read my previous Rise of the Guardians Fic before you read this one, as this is part 2. You've been warned.
----------------------------------

This takes place AFTER the film, directly following on from my previous story.

----------------------------------

As Jack slumbered peacefully in the icy-hammock, his belly full of happily resting Pitch, elsewhere, things were not so peaceful.

At the North pole, there was considerable excitement, as several yetis charged particularly excitedly into North's office, loudly and simultaneously trying to explain something odd that they had all seen.
North struggled for a short while to get any idea what the problem was, standing up with a loud stomp, and setting down the assortment of cogs and such that he had been fiddling with. "What is problem!?" he demanded, "What?"
The three yetis stopped, and then one of them, the one at the front, pointed out towards the globe room with a soft. "Rowfem?"
"What?" exclaimed North. "What's wrong with the globe?"
"Arafen dynyarg!" Replied the yeti, indignantly.
"Something strange going on?" North barged past them swiftly, heading straight for the globe room, stopping to stare at what he saw when he got into the room. At first, the globe looked normal... many lights sparkled attractively across the globe, children that they had managed to rekindle belief in since their episode of trouble with the boogeyman.
At first, everything seemed fine... except for a soft vibe of unease in the man... he felt something was not quite right somewhere... and as he squinted, stepping closer, ignoring the elves completely failing to put down floor polish. "What...?" he asked softly, frowning as he saw a tiny flash of sandy darkness shoot across the surface of the globe, making all of the lights it passed over flicker, but not go out... well... one or two went out... but most just flickered.
"Pitch?" asked the man softly, nervously. "No..." he realised his mistake as he noticed the shape at the forefront of the trail... it was a tiny... tiny nightmare, like the ones that had taken Pitch at the end of their previous encounter. Then he saw a second, and a third... then more... there were about a dozen of them, circling the globe erratically. But they were not doing it in the organised, orderly way that he would have expected if it was Pitch himself though... no, this was without order... like the tiny black shapes were searching out of control.
He frowned, stroking his beard thoughtfully as he watched this... they were well away from Easter this time around... Christmas was not for a while, perhaps it was worth summoning the guardians to discuss the problem... after all, these things WERE putting out lights and scaring children... slowly or not, it was their duty to put a stop to it. Perhaps the nightmares were finished with Pitch and were out looking for more prey... the guardians should have dealt with the nightmares when they had the chance.

Nodding to himself, North quickly activated the northern lights to summon the guardians, and ordered the elves to make ready for guests... perhaps having cookies and eggnog ready for the others would mean that he would avoid the inevitable ear-chewing that one of them would give him. Still... it was worth it to address this situation.

----------------------------------

Jack meanwhile, still sleeping happily, was unaware as the signal glittered through the evening sky above him, simply hugging his belly warmly and rolling over, the odd warmth inside still confusing his sleeping mind... it would have made sense that Pitch would have turned cold, like him now... but that was not so... for some reason the boogeyman was still managing to be pleasantly warm, making him very noticeable for the normally cold Jack.
His happy, relaxed rest though, was about to be disturbed as a shadow passed overhead, bringing a wake of unease and discomfort with it, making him frown in his sleep, and the resting Pitch tense up immediately, his dark eyes snapping open. "The nightmares..." he exclaimed softly, grabbing for the reassuring flesh that he lay on, almost like a child clawing to hide under its bed covers from the monster in its cupboard. "Jack... the nightmares!" he called, pushing at Jack urgently. "They're coming for me!"
"Mmmm..." mumbled Jack, rolling over as the movements disturbed him. "Thewha?" he asked, one eye half-opening.
"The NIGHTMARES Jack! Don't you feel them? One is close right now..." urged Pitch, feeling the creature circling the area... it hadn't pinpointed them yet, but it knew it was near.
Jack frowned, gripping his staff, which lay close beside him in the hammock. "Why are they hunting you?"
"Because I can't control them any more Jack... they turned on me when I grew too weak and afraid to handle them... I made them too powerful, they are their own force now!" The man's voice was frightened and urgent. "Please Jack, we have to run, go far away from here so that it loses my trail..."
Jack frowned, sitting up... he had slept long enough anyway, and night was falling, so there was work to be done somewhere. Flicking the staff, he hovered up off the ground, and shot off through the sky at high speed, tracing the wind, and soon leaving the cloud of unease well behind him.
Once he had gone a fair distance, he slowed, hovering down onto a treetop, and alighting there quietly to rest a hand on his stomach. "There... all gone." He said, blinking as he felt something strange, and gave a soft belch, blinking as the puff of golden sand that he had allowed inside to Pitch escaped him, and shot off northwards. He frowned, and wiped his mouth distastefully.
"Thank you Jack..." sighed the boogeyman, going notably limper against his insides, "I could not have escaped them alone... and I am still too weak to hold them off. I knew they would look for me, but I never intended to bring them down on you."
Jack nodded, resting a hand lightly on his middle, still watching where the golden sand trail had headed. "It's okay Pitch." He said absent mindedly. " If we can outrun them this easily, it won't be a problem." As the sky grew darker, he blinked as he saw the glimmer of cyan light in the sky north of him, and he gasped, "The guardians... they're summoning, we have to go there Pitch."
"I would really rather we did not... I... am not exactly on the nice list..."
"I know Pitch, but I have a job to do..." he frowned, then had a thought, and gave a mischievous smile. "And it is guaranteed to be safe from the nightmares... if YOU only just managed to get into the Pole at full strength... what makes you think that they can now?"
Pitch blinked at this. "Safe? Do you mean it Jack?"
"Absolutely!" Jack knew already that Pitch was sold on the idea now, so he grinned as the man answered.
"Very well then... just... try not to bring me up in conversation..." suggested the man, yelping and tumbling against the wall as Jack shot off through the sky again. "That's going to take getting used to..." he sighed, hanging on for dear life.

Meanwhile, at the pole, everyone else had already arrived, and Sandy seemed to be desperately trying to explain something odd to the others, that they just could not comprehend.
"Pitch..." said North, as the sandman flashed up an image of the boogeyman.
"And a snowflake?" asked Bunny, seeing that as the next symbol. "Pitch made it snow?"
The sandman shook his head impatiently, displaying both images and then merging them together... trying to make it look like the snowflake was consuming Pitch.
The others stared blankly, slightly slack-jawed at this nonsense symbol.
"What?" finally asked Bunny, confused.
"This is not about Pitch Sandy!" Exclaimed North, gesturing to the globe. "Look... his nightmares... they are out of control...
The sandman made an exclamation mark, trying to impress upon the others that he had something important to say as well.
But it was too late, they were distracted now, as they turned to the globe to discuss the nightmares zipping around.
The sandman crossed his arms and huffed in annoyance... he was sure that the cause of what was happening had something to do with Jack helping to hide Pitch. It was nobody's fault... but he was sure that that had something to do with it.

It was at that point that Jack joined them in the room, Flying through the doorway on a gust of wind and landing neatly in the hall.
"You know, the whole point of the signal is that you are supposed to turn up WHEN IT goes off... not two hours later." Berated bunny... even though he and Jack had made up their differences a little now, he was still critical of many things that the younger man did.
"Yeah well, some of us had a frost to settle." Lied Jack, feeling Pitch shift uneasily... it was an understandable reaction... these were not exactly friends of his.
Jack blinked as something shiny and green shot over to him, making happy squealing noises and cuddling against his neck. "Hey there little baby tooth..." he said, reaching up to gently stroke the affectionate little fairy.
"Jack my boy!" Greeted North jovially, "How is it going?" He asked, barrelling over.
"Good I guess," said Jack with a smile. "So what's up? What's the alert for?"
"Ah... something is going on..." said North, turning to the globe, and pointing to one of the tiny, dark trails. "Nightmares... they are spreading unease and fear..."
Jack frowned, he hadn't realised that they would do that, "What are they doing?" he asked in confusion.
"We do not know... but the pattern of movement... it is strange... erratic... I think they are looking for someone..." said North, rubbing his beard, "Looking for Pitch... he must have escaped them..."
Jack felt his cheeks flush a bit, "But... he was bound to get away sooner or later right? Surely the problem is that they still exist... not... where Pitch is."
"I hate to admit it, but Jack's righ'..." agreed Bunny, "They shouldn't have been left around las' time... tha's our mistake..." he sighed, "We need to take 'em out..."
"But we need to know where Pitch is as well!" Insisted Tooth, pausing in giving her orders of the latest teeth to be placed for pickup to her small cloud of fairy assistants. "Last time we stopped watching him... well... just remember!"
"I... don't think Pitch is going to be a problem for a while..." said Jack. "I mean... he wasn't in a good state when we left him..." He said hesitantly, blinking as he noticed Sandy glaring at him, his golden arms folded crossly. So the man DID know for sure where Pitch was... well... that wasn't good... he had hoped to preserve that secret for now.
"Jack... do you know something about Pitch?" asked North, catching onto his hesitation immediately.
Sandy stepped in at this moment, waving his arms to get attention, and making an exclamation mark over his head before showing an image of Pitch, and then an arrow, which he directed at Jack's middle.
"You DO know something about Pitch?" exclaimed North, misinterpreting this to represent Jack simply knowing. "What is it Jack... you have to tell us!"
"I..." Jack frowned as Pitch moved nervously again, pressing up against the back of his stomach, breathing quickly... it was clear that feeling his weakness whilst surrounded by enemies was not very pleasant for the man.
"What is problem?!" demanded North, frowning, uncertain as to why Jack, who hated Pitch as much as any of them, would hesitate.
Jack sighed, giving in... he couldn't lie to them... "Yesterday night, as I was setting a frost... I... I found Pitch." He sighed, "He was hiding in the woods... tiny... helpless..." he held up his hands to gesture his tiny friend's four inch size. "He's all but gone... belief in him has reduced to almost nothing."
"You found Pitch like this... ?" asked Bunny, then scowled, "Did ya stomp on him?"
Jack frowned, "No! We talked... he explained that he couldn't disappear like you guys... that he's necessary... he had wasted away to the closest to nothing that he could become... no light without shadow... no day without night... he keeps the balance."
"Jack, it sounds dangerously like you've been LISTENIN' to that rubbish..." said Bunny, looking concerned.
"But he's right..." said Tooth, "If there was no night... the world couldn't sleep... every one of us works under cover of darkness... without Pitch... there's none of that."
Jack was glad someone saw reason, and he nodded, deciding to press on whilst he had someone on side. "And he asked me for help... but..." he shook his head, "I refused... flew off and left him... I didn't trust him."
The others nodded understandingly.
"But it bothered me what he had said... so I went back to him this morning... to see what he needed... I mean... he was so weak... I could feel it... it didn't seem right to just leave him to suffer... I KNOW what he did was wrong... but... he didn't deserve to suffer constantly for it." He sighed, "He asked me to help him by giving him somewhere to rest... somewhere dark and where the nightmares couldn't find him... I helped him hide..." he pointed at the globe, "That's why they're searching... they're trying to find him again."
"You HELPED Pitch?" demanded North, frowning.
"Isn't it my job to help protect the balance?" coutered Jack, "Personal disagreements with him aside, we need him... and he needed me."
"But... you know where he is right? So we can keep an eye on him now?"
Jack nodded, "A close eye... and in exchange for helping... he promised me that he wouldn't cause any trouble for the next decade... it was all I could get as an offer..."
"So where is he?" interrupted Bunny. "We can't give him to the nightmares, but we could use him as bait to get them to come to us..."
Jack frowned, "You're not going to like it..."
"Why not Jack?" asked Tooth.
Jack sighed, resting a hand quietly on his middle, over where Pitch's nervously panting form rested. "He needed somewhere dark and completely safe... hidden away from the world... I wanted somewhere I could keep an eye on him... it was... his suggestion."
Bunny, North and Tooth all stared, somewhat dumbfounded at the news, and the sandman looked smug, crossing his arms and nodding, glad to have gotten the truth out of Jack.
Jack blushed as the silence drew out, and looked at the others, "Don't be upset... it's weird I know... I didn't want to do it at first... but he convinced me."
"So... Pitch is..." Bunny gestured at Jack's stomach, and the young man nodded. "Right now?" asked the rabbit, frowning.
Jack nodded again, "He didn't want me to come here... but I had to answer the signal..."
"You did right thing Jack," said North, gently patting him on the shoulder. "You look past your hate for Pitch and see the need to keep a balance... and in that... you have done right thing..." he frowned, "Just... do not tell the yetis that Pitch is here... they are still... a little sore."
Jack nodded, finding himself folding his arms gently over his belly protectively as the others continued to stare, feeling suddenly very self-conscious about it. "So... what do we do now?"
"Well... we've gotta stop those nightmares... that means we've gotta make them come to us." Said Bunny, forcing himself to look over at the globe. "I say we use Pitch as bait."
"I agree..." said North. "He really wants guardian protection... he has to help us first..." he paused, seeing the concern on Jack's face. "To prove he isn't... up to anything."
Jack didn't like the idea of using the tiny, helpless man as bait, but he knew that they needed to draw the nightmares to them... so he was rather torn for a moment, before he resorted to squeezing his stomach gently and calling. "Pitch? Did you hear that."
"I heard..." replied the boogeyman quietly. "I... want to help but... Jack... I don't want them to get me..." He sounded legitimately scared, and Jack looked at North helplessly.
"Pitch, agree to help us... and in return... we... won't try to stop you staying with Jack for the time you need..."
Pitch frowned, "Will you promise that you won't let the nightmares get me again?"
North looked at the others, and at the Sandman's agreeing nod, he replied. "Yes, we promise." He sighed, rubbing his temples, "Working with the boogeyman... is this the right thing to be doing?"
Jack sighed, "Okay... so... where do we go?" He didn't plan on bringing Pitch back into the world until it was necessary.
"The nightmares will find me anywhere that I go... but I can draw them to myself faster now..." he sighed, "The fear that they are spreading... it has... increased belief in me... not enough for anything significant... but if I just... use the energy to make my presence known it will work... so let us go somewhere far from people, where you can... do what you have to with them without any harm having to come to anyone."
"Anyone know somewhere like that?" asked Jack.
"Chyeah..." answered Bunny, his ears perking eagerly. "My own back garden mate... the outback... it's about as far from anywhere we ya can get... and the sunshine should confuse em... make em weaker..."
"But... it's night time... it'll be dark..." frowned Jack.
"Nah, timezones remember mate..." chuckled Bunny, "It's night here... morning there... perfect time for a fight if we hurry." He grinned, and tapped the floor twice with his foot. "Shall we?"
"Why can't we take sled?" asked North, frowning.
Bunny chuckled, and shook his head, "Nah, Tunnels faster this time... and every second we waste... more of those little guys are sufferin'..." he gestured to the globe, and then gestured at the tunnel. "After you?"
"I.... would really rather take sled." Replied North, folding his arms.
Jack smiled at the man's stubbornness, and shook his head, deciding to lead by example, he stepped forwards, blinking as Sandy did the same thing, and he chuckled, moving aside. "After you." He said, grinning as the golden man leapt down the tunnel, and then jumped in afterwards, holding his staff close to his side to keep it safe as he went, smiling as he felt Pitch slipping and sliding inside at the twists and turns. He grinned, and gently lay a hand on his stomach as he moved, just enjoying the ride, until he was dumped unceremoniously in a heap with the sandman, in what looked very much like a desert.
He laughed, and hauled himself upright, helping Sandy up as well with a smile, and brushing himself off. "You okay Pitch?"
"I see that you guardians don't understand the concept of dignified travel." Sighed the man crossly.
"I did warn you."
"I know, and I said at the time that I would dislike it." Said the man, settling in place, nervous about what was about to happen.
Jack nodded, and waited, not surprised when Tooth flitted through the tunnel, followed after another moment by North, and finally Bunny bounced through, straightening up and looking around, his long ears twitching, taking in their  surroundings. "Alrigh' mates..." he said, "Let's get us some bait." He looked at Jack, and the young man sighed softly, laying a hand across his stomach. "Pitch? It's time."
"You promise I can come back once this is over?" asked the man, hesitant.
"I promise." Said Jack, looking around at the others. "None of you will try and stop him as long as he keeps his promise and helps?"
The guardians all looked at each other, and after a moment, they all nodded. "As long as we take care of nightmares..." agreed North.
Jack nodded, and then looked down at himself. "How should I go about getting you out... can you do it... or do I have to?"
"I can manage Jack, I just need you to open up, I may need your help to return... but getting out I have the strength for."
Jack nodded, and lifted his head upwards, opening his mouth.
There was a shift inside him, and then a strange rushing sensation, and a smoky black substance shot out from his mouth... it did not taste of anything particularly notable, and just felt dry and warm, so it wasn't comfortable, but it wasn't BAD either.
After a small cloud of it had emerged, the flow ceased, and the substance gathered itself on the ground, solidifying into the tiny Pitch, who immediately winced, covering his eyes against the relentlessly bright sunlight.
"Okay..." sighed Jack, clearing his throat to lessen the dryness left from Pitch's exit... though now he had to note... that without Pitch there, his belly felt light and cool... it was a big difference considering how short a length of time Pitch had been resting there.  "Now... how do we call the nightmares?"
"Oh don't worry." Said Pitch darkly, "They're already coming for me."
The guardians frowned, and Jack went and stood over Pitch protectively, casting his shadow on him as he looked around, holding his staff ready.
He blinked as he felt something bump against his back, and looked over to see that North had joined him, back to back, to watch the other way... then with a bump at his shoulder, Bunny joined them, and then Tooth and Sandman, until they stood shoulder to shoulder around Pitch in a circle, putting him in the shade, and in their protection.
"There!" Shouted Jack, pointing as he spotted a dark speck on the horizon... galloping full-tilt towards them in the sky, its fiery eyes burning eagerly. "Sandy, you want to get this one?"
The sandman smiled, and nodded, lifting his hands, and summoning a bright, long whip out of the air, waving the thing lightly for a moment before casting in the direction of the nightmare.
It took a long, long moment for the thing to stretch as far as the creature... and it was so distant that at first, Jack thought the attack had missed... but he was wrong, as a moment later, the black creature split down the middle, and was consumed in a golden brightness that evaporated, as it was turned back into Sandman's dream sand.
"One down... how many more to go?" asked Bunny, bouncing slightly on his feet, overly alert and ready for a fight.
"Roughly a dozen..." said Pitch, his eyes wide and nervous.
"Roughly?" asked Bunny, shooting him a look. "Roughly aint goin' to get us far if we don't know we've gotten them all!"
"Trust me... when you've got them all... I'll know."
And then suddenly... they were upon them. Having learned from the mistake of their comrade, the other nightmares had been more careful, approaching faster, and from greater distance, so that they attacked in a group, a wave of the creatures setting upon the guardians viciously, rearing and snorting.
But it quickly became apparent that the nightmares did not want to make trouble with the guardians, they were all aiming for one thing only, trying to reach between the larger forms and snap at Pitch.
Fortunately, the guardians were prepared for this, and they determinedly fought off these attempts, blocking Pitch efficiently.
Every now and then, the sandman would get his hands on one of the nightmares, and it would evaporate back into his golden sand and disappear... until they only seemed to be dealing with two... unfortunately the nightmares still had one final trick up their metaphorical sleeve.
With a blast of dark sand that made all of the guardians wince and cover their eyes, the two creatures merged into one, much larger nightmare... and without waiting for them to re-gather their senses, the nightmare leaned over the guardians, and snatched the tiny Pitch off the ground easily with its mouth.
Then it was gone with a whoosh, shooting upwards into the sky and taking off at incredible speed.
"NO!" Shouted Jack, as he realised this... bad or not... they had promised Pitch that he would be protected, he wasn't going to lose him now.
Flicking his staff, Jack caught the wind, and shot into the sky like a rocket, taking off after the nightmare as fast as he was able to fly.
The creature was fast, but he was able to catch up easily enough, horrified to see the tiny Pitch being tossed roughly around in the creature's hollow chest cavity, as he had seen with the tooth fairies. Whilst there WAS a subtle irony that Pitch was getting a dose of his own medicine, that did not make it right, and Jack glared, and accelerated, getting ahead of the nightmare and bringing his staff forwards as he turned to face it... waiting.
The nightmare's eyes glowed angrily at this challenge... this one who dared to stand before it without fear... and it roared at him as it charged.
Jack kept still, waiting, waiting... letting time seem to slow around him as he waited for the exact right moment.
When the moment came that the black nose was within reach, he closed his eyes, and let out a blast of the intensely cold energy that he had used against Pitch in the past, freezing the black sand of the nightmare in a column of ice, which promptly crashed down to the ground of the desert, but remained whole.
Panting from the exertion of the attack, Jack dropped down after it lightly, searching around the block until he found Pitch, protected in a bubble of air inside the chest cavity.

Pitch panted fearfully, looking around, relieved that the chaotic movement had come to a halt at last... all around him now, was ice... the black powder that the creature was made of frozen into solid walls all around him... he could even make out the patterns of the ribs that remained within the walls...
Jack must have caught up with the creature, it was the only possible reason for this... but it was still alarming... as the bright light shone through the ice easily, making him feel vulnerable and scared, trapped in this brightly lit space of cold, slippery ice... it wasn't soft and dark, comforting like Jack's insides... it was hard, and felt exposed and frightening.
As there was a cracking sound above him, and he saw the base of Jack's stick break a hole into the chamber, he was relieved, and he scrambled to try and reach it, slipping and falling on the ice with a thud.
After that, he moved more carefully, trying to get under the hole, and peering upwards with a frown, eager to see Jack's hand coming down for him, sighing in relief as he was grasped... he had never been more grateful to see Jack in his life.

Jack sighed in relief as he felt the warm little man scramble into his palm, and he gently gripped Pitch, lifting him out gently, "It's okay, those were the last of them," he said, and promptly tucked Pitch into the pocket of his hoodie, just for temporary darkness. Then he waved his arms in the air, jumping a little on top of the frozen nightmare. "Bunny! Sandy! Over here!" he shouted, knowing that at very least, Bunny would hear him and come running... his ice was melting quickly in the desert heat, but he kept re-freezing it to hold it over until Sandy arrived to deal with his captive properly.
After a little while, a hole opened up in the ground, and Bunny bounced out of it. "Jack! You got 'im!" He called, hopping aside as the other guardians tumbled out in a heap.
"Yeah," called Jack, walking back and forth on the creature.
"And Pitch?" asked North, righting himself.
"Safe." Said Jack, gesturing to his hoodie. "He did his part..."
The sandman righted himself at that moment, and went to the ice block, running his hands over it, and then looking at Jack, forming a snowflake over his head, and then allowing it to melt, whilst gesturing to the nightmare.
Jack nodded, and jumped down beside him, holding his staff gently against the thing, "Ready Sandy?"
The sandman nodded, looking focused.
Jack nodded, and thawed the ice with a touch of his stick, allowing the black dust to move again.
But it never got the chance to reform properly, before the sandman did his job, and it was engulfed by gold.
Sighing softly, Jack nodded, and gently touched Pitch. "Are they all gone now?"
Pitch nodded, feeling the relief of knowing they were gone. "Yes... it is over... they're all gone."
Relieved, Jack smiled, and looked at the others. "We did it guys... they're all gone."
The other guardians smiled, nodding approvingly to each other... now the last trace of Pitch's attacks were gone, the world would be able to sleep easier at night.

Soon enough, Tooth hurried back to her palace to oversee business as usual, the Sandman left to carry on his work, Bunny returned to his tunnels... and North went back to the pole.
Jack got a lift in Bunny's tunnel to one of his favourite spots, a nice, quiet lake, with a small island of trees in the middle... he often came here when he wanted a place to think where regular people wouldn't be around to distract him, and if he accidentally spread a bit of frost around, nobody would notice or mind.
Once the tunnel was closed and he was alone, Jack went and settled himself on a rock... it was night-time here, so it was cool and dark... comfortable for him, as well as Pitch, and he smiled, gently drawing the small man out of his hoodie pocket. "You doing okay?" he asked gently.
Pitch nodded, sitting up in his hands. "The extra belief that the nightmares spread about me has helped... but I am still very weak." He said, sighing softly. "But, I saw today that the guardians aren't all bad... they didn't try to harm me... even though I'm vulnerable..." he gave a soft chuckle. "I haven't forgotten what a considerable right hook the tooth fairy has. I dare say one of those at my size... and my face might look a little more like the boogeyman of legend..."
Jack smiled, nodding. "They won't harm you for as long as you don't harm them... remember our deal... no trouble for a decade..."
The man nodded, "I know... now... I do not mean to sound pushy... but... that experience with the nightmare has shaken me a little... I find myself longing for somewhere to hide away again, if you do not object..."
Jack chuckled, and nodded a little, gently lifting the small form up. "I think I can do that... but this time... can you not try to burrow into me like last time? I nearly had a new airway after that..."
Pitch chuckled and nodded, looking at Jack, "I think this time, I am in possession of a little more patience and self-control." He said. "So please... go ahead."
Jack nodded, satisfied by this, and gently lifted Pitch up to his mouth, opening wide to gently take in the head and shoulders again, gently slipping them inside, marvelling at his ability to do this with such ease... it was almost like it was an ability he had had all along, and never known it.
Closing his eyes, Jack used his fingers to gently push Pitch backwards, surprisingly welcoming to the warmth and sensations this time as he swallowed, tipping his head back in a fast movement, easily sucking the warm body inside with a series of gulps... he pressed a hand gently to his mouth as he did so though, an automatic reaction as he continued to swallow, now just... trying to get Pitch deep enough that he would be able to breathe again.
Not that he didn't find the sensation pleasant... it made him feel warm and tingly all the way down his throat, not to mention how full it made him feel already... stretching his gullet just the right amount to feel good... without going too far.
The young man exhaled softly in relief as Pitch slid down deeper... the bulge sliding smoothly under his collarbone and out of the world again, allowing him to relax, and flop back on the flat rock as Pitch slithered deeper, leaving a trail of satisfying warmth through Jack, which finally gathered in one place as Pitch reached his belly, sliding into a nice, comfortable shape inside, feeling relaxed and deliciously heavy.
"Phew..." said Jack softly, running his fingertips gently over his middle. "There we go..." he gently pressed a hand where he could feel the gathered warmth, just below his ribs. "Now... with the nightmares gone... why don't we both get some rest?"
"You're awfully sensible for a young person Jack." Chuckled Pitch, cuddling gratefully into the soft safety again. "I realise the irony of that statement towards someone who plays with ice as a hobby... but bedtimes?"
"Would you prefer a late-night flight?" Offered Jack, chuckling.
"Ah... no Jack... if it's all the same to you... I have been quite scrambled enough for one day."
Jack grinned, and laid his stick down beside him. "Suit yourself... but you're going to have to get used to it sooner or later."
Pitch chuckled, settling in place with a sigh. "I know Jack. And as before... I reserve the right to complain bitterly... but... that doesn't mean I'm not grateful."
Jack smiled, nodding, and gently leaving his hand resting on his belly as he relaxed, and easily dropped off into a light sleep, tired from their misadventures today.
This time though, as he was not awake to help it... as Sandman spared them a little dream dust... the smaller trail of it simply bounced off his middle a few times before joining his own dream, leaving Pitch to relaxed, dreamless sleep for once... dreamless, and free from nightmares for the first time in a long while.

END
For now :P
The long awaited sequel!

I have been stunned and thrilled by the level of popularity and loves that the first one of these I wrote managed to garner for itself, and as such, I have finally finished writing up the sequel.

I would like to dedicate it to :iconshadow-jumping: as they came up with pretty much the plot for this, and I just... fleshed out all the details and made it happen ^_^ That was back at Christmas though... so I can only apologise for the delay! :P

That said, please enjoy and comment!

Oh, and to be clear, there's no pairings of any kind going on here. Nobody fancies anyone, and I'm getting sick and tired of people not understanding the word PLATONIC. People can be friends without being humping buddies you know.
