"Elmont! HELP!" he didn't know what was going on... whether the giants had returned and taken him in his sleep... or if he was just having a nightmare... but Jack wanted his friend to help him and he wanted it NOW!

Elmont smiled a little in his sleep at the first movements inside... they were heavy and delicious, and made wonderful tingles through him... but as the shouting began, and the serious kicking and thrashing, he was disturbed by it, shifting where he lay a bit, mumbling that he didn't want to get up, and eventually opening his eyes, staring up at the dark sky in confusion until he realised the desperate thrashing going on inside him. "J... Jack?!" He exclaimed, staring down at himself... the man was awake! His secret was out! "Jack it's alright!" He called, realising quickly that the man was absolutely panicking. He winced as he felt a heavy kick to his liver, and he pressed a hand to his stomach, frowning as he realised the armour defied his contact with the man, he fumbled with the clips, "Calm down! You're okay..." he said, as he worked.

Jack froze again as he heard Elmont's voice... so loud... rumbling through the entire area... this was ELMONT'S belly?! "What's going on?!" He shouted, frantic. "How am I okay?!"
Elmont sighed, biting his lip as he worked to remove his armour. "Because you've been there for hours Jack... you're safe..."
Jack panted, squirming as he felt a change of gravity, the huge man sitting up. "WHY am I in here?!" He demanded... then his voice broke nervously as he asked. "And... tell me I'm not where I think I am..."
Elmont winced as he heard this fear, shaking his head, "Let me explain Jack..." he said gently, "But first, I want you to listen to me when I promise to you that you're perfectly safe... alright?"
Jack blinked, but nodded, nervously. "Okay..."
Elmont chewed his lip... trying to think of a way to explain his that didn't make him sound as bad as he felt he should. "Jack... last night... when I woke up... I was so hungry... you've no idea... I've never known anything like it... at this size, hunger feels like it's a hole in your very being... it HURTS Jack... and you were lying there asleep... and I can't explain why, but you smell so edible..." he realised he was going onto a tangent that would not be pleasing to the frightened young man in his belly. "Suffice to say I could not help myself... I didn't even know what I was doing... before I knew it, I was waking up this morning and you were still fast asleep... by some miracle... perfectly safe inside me." He blushed bright red, "I got you out immediately... and you were none the wiser."
"I... was in here last night?!" Demanded Jack. That explained a lot... why he had felt residual warmth into his very core... why his joints had felt so very relaxed and healthy... and why his hair had been so slimy! "You ATE me... twice?!"
Elmont blushed even brighter, finally managing to drag his armour off and set it aside. "I couldn't help it Jack... tonight, I knew you'd be safe... and we hadn't eaten at all... and you've no IDEA how much you help that..." he gave a long, shaky sigh, letting a hand rest on the bulge at last, feeling how firm it was under his fingertips... Jack was tucked away behind all that flesh, muscle and bone. "Jack... I'm afraid of myself." He said softly. "When the hunger comes over me... I feel like I would attack anything that moves... I've noticed how even you seem afraid to come near when I haven't eaten. I don't want to hurt anyone Jack... least of all you!" He very gently pressed with just one fingertip against the warm flesh under his shirt. "Having you in there... has made it possible for me to survive the last two nights without losing my head completely..." he sighed, "But as a gentleman, I will understand if you are completely horrified by all of this, and demand your immediate release." He waited anxiously for the man to respond... not sure if he had said too much, or not enough.
There was a long pause, and then Jack answered quietly. "How... am I safe? And how do you know for certain?"
Elmont shrugged, "I don't know... it's like an instinct I think... wired into the giant's brain... it could be to store food for later... or... just to feel what I'm feeling now..." he shivered slightly... both from having his body now exposed to the cold... and from letting himself FEEL Jack inside again. "But... it's like closing your eyes... you don't think about HOW you do it... you just do... and that's how I know you're safe... even the very first time I did this... somehow in the back of my mind I knew..." he squeezed his eyes shut. "Forgive me Jack... I should have been strong enough to resist the temptation." But he could not help it... he had been so very hungry... and even now, with guilt making him feel mildly unwell... the sensation inside him was amazing.
"Elmont... it's okay..." said Jack, "I will admit, I am upset that you ate me... especially that you didn't TELL me... but... if you knew it was safe... it's not so bad." He sighed softly, pressing a hand gently against the flesh, "You're warm, and soft... and you're my friend, if I had known you were suffering, and this would help, I would have let you do it... albeit a bit reluctantly."
Elmont blinked, "You're... not furious with me?"
Jack shook his head, "Not at all... I'll be honest, waking up here was not the most pleasant experience I have ever had... I really, really thought I was in trouble there for a moment... but if you're SURE I'm safe... I trust you... I know I can."
Elmont managed a small smile, touched by the man being willing to trust him even now. "In that case... would it be pushing my luck to ask for one... teeny favour?"
Jack tilted his head, "Of course Elmont... what is it?" he didn't see what the huge man could possibly want from him as he was now...
"Your foot... is lodged in my liver at this moment... would it be too much to ask you... to remove it and curl up again?"
Jack blinked, realising that he DID still have a leg partially extended from stopping mid-thrash. "Oh I'm sorry," he said, promptly tucking it back against himself, and shifting on the soft flesh, surprised to find it actually accommodated him very nicely as long as he made himself compact. "Is that better?"
Elmont sighed softly, resting a hand over the small man as he lay down again, "Perfect..." he said, as the sensation of perfect comfort returned in full... making him feel so warm and full. If he could only describe to Jack, the pleasure and relief he was causing simply by being where he was. He rested his hands gently on the bulge at the base of his ribs... now that Jack was moving he could FEEL that it was a man in there... it was nothing like having a belly full of food. "Perhaps we should sleep," he said gently, "We still have a long way to go tomorrow."
Jack nodded a bit with a yawn... surprisingly... it didn't feel as though sleeping here would be all that hard! It was hot... and whilst the walls were slick and slimy... they were also amazingly soft... they bent and formed under his weight to just support him perfectly. He was a bit cramped... but other than that, he could have no complaint toward sleeping here. "Alright Elmont... but remember... we leave at the crack of dawn, and I want to be woken up for that..." He yawned again, the warmth making him sleepy now. "I'll have to see the light of day again before I can properly develop an opinion on all this."
Elmont nodded a bit. "I can understand that, but for now, let's rest." He said... and he bit his lip as he felt Jack's awareness melting away inside... until the man was absolutely limp and still again... a lovely feeling for the knight, who sighed in satisfaction, and settled down to sleep.
Elmont woke up as early as he had said he would the next morning... just when the first light was starting to touch the sky. But he did not move right away... sighing, and just enjoying the warm weight cradled inside him as Jack slept peacefully.
After he had savoured those moments though, he rubbed gently at his stomach, finding that he actually did prefer to be able to touch Jack properly, "Wake up Jack," he said softly, smiling as the small man rolled over inside, squirming in objection and mumbling something about not wanting to get up. Elmont smiled and gently rubbed again, "Come now Jack, this is your request..." he would quite happily have curled up and slept for another hour or two, just to hang onto the sensations for a while longer. However, he did not get the chance, as Jack finally woke up, and he was surprised to feel the small chest expand in a yawn... such a clear movement, he had not expected to be able to feel.
"Morning," he greeted gently, smiling to himself.
"Mmmmm... morning," replied Jack, sleepy and mumbling slightly.
"I trust you slept well?"
"You have no idea Elmont, what good this has somehow done to my joints..." he yawned again, "I feel like a new man."
Elmont laughed softly, and sat up, stretching himself a bit, "Well... it's morning now, so we should start getting ourselves together." He said, turning himself onto all fours, "So... be aware, this won't be dignified," He said, as he tensed his insides up, closing his eyes as he started to force the young man out, as much as his body did not want to lose its meal.
Soon enough the two men were settled side by side, panting, "You're a mess Jack," chuckled Elmont, gesturing to the man's slimy clothes, "There's a river just down the hill... go and get yourself cleaned up," he said, picking his armour up and working it back on.
Jack, agreeing that this was a good idea, went off to wash himself, leaving the giant alone.
However, Elmont had not eaten since the morning before now... and without Jack to fill his empty belly, he began to have those worrying hungers again.
Not sure what else to do, he went to one of the trees and tore a handful of branches loose... after all... everything DID still smell edible. Desperate to quell the aching in his stomach, he munched on these, surprised to find that his huge teeth made short work of the wood and leaves... and they did not taste bad at all... earthy and strange, but not unpleasant. He did this several times, until he heard Jack returning, whereupon he stopped, and pretended not to have been doing anything.
"That's better," he said, smiling as he saw the young man had just thrown himself, clothes and all, into the river.
Jack smiled, shaking water from his shirt sleeves, "It's a bit chilly out here now... compared to..." he paused, feeling his breath catch a little as he looked at Elmont's chest... he had been IN there... inside the huge form! And he had fitted! It was amazing!
Elmont noticed his stare, and blushed a bit, rubbing the back of his neck. "Okay, come on then," he said, forcing himself to be businesslike. "Let's go." He reached down, and gently grabbed the small man, lifting him up to his shoulder, and helping Jack into his collar.
"Do you still have the plant?" asked the young man.
Elmont nodded, reaching into his gauntlet and gently lifting out the tiny bundle of plant. "Of course."
Jack smiled, settling in place, smiling as Elmont rose up and started to walk... it was strange to him now... sitting right beside the giant's neck... a neck that he had by some MIRACLE passed down through... it didn't seem possible now... not at all.. and yet he knew it was.
Smiling a little, he settled down comfortably on the shoulder to ride the rest of the way home.
"Getting comfortable?" chuckled the man, as he felt Jack settle in place. "You've got the easy task... sit and enjoy the view whilst I do all the work!"
"Yeah well, as soon as we're back home, I'll be the one running around for you again."
"Fair enough," replied Elmont, and retuned his attention to walking.

It took until the early afternoon for them to return to the site they had been using as a camp, and as soon as they were there, Jack hastened into town to deliver the plants and Elmont was left to rest for a while after his walking. He hoped Jack brought food back with him, as the trees were starting to look mightily appetizing once again. He was just starting to pick at twigs to nibble when Jack returned, and Elmont greeted him cheerfully, his sharp nose easily determining that there was food, real food, in the cart for him. He was right too... Jack had brought him a side of beef, a mixed bag of rabbit and pheasant, a sack of turnips and a few loaves of bread. Delighted with this spread, Elmont set about cooking it, so that the air was quickly filled with roasting meat smells, instead of Jack's scent.
News from the city was that the threat was supposedly still real, and that the attack was coming... and that the alchemist was getting right to work finishing his cure.
They spent the afternoon talking idly and awkwardly avoiding the subject of Elmont's inability to resist Jack the night before... neither of them knew how to discuss the consumption of another person as though it was a good thing... and yet... neither of them could face that it certainly hadn't been bad! Jack felt well-rested and his back felt terrific... and Elmont had a memory of the most delicious sensation and taste ever! But both knew... giants eating people was bad! But... those giants were not like Elmont!
It was a frustrating social dilemma for both men, so they did not speak of it, and small-talked instead.

However, when time came for sleep... Elmont didn't know what to do as Jack looked at him kind of expectantly for a moment... and then settled down in his bedroll. He neither gave, nor denied permission for it! Frustrated, Elmont was very tempted to speak up with an idle joke on the matter to test Jack... but he decided not to, and settled down quietly.
However, hours into the night, as always... he found himself fidgeting and unable to sleep... he was hungry! But Jack KNEW his secret now... he couldn't wake the man and ask him, and yet to do it without asking now that he knew seemed... well... rude! He tossed and turned for a while before getting up to sneak off for a drink, scooping water from the river up in his palm and drinking it quietly. He sat on the bank for a while, daring a peek over the treetops at the city.... oh how he missed being normal. He was not doing his duty for the kingdom like this! He sighed and grabbed the branch of a scots pine tree nearby and tugged it down, looking at it with a sigh... he knew these were supposed to be poisonous, at least the needles... but it DID smell very nice... surely this new giant body could cope with it... and nobody had ever indicated to him that the wood was dangerous. Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, he put a hand around the thing, and stripped downwards, removing almost all of the needles from the thing. Then, with a tired sigh, he started to munch on it.

He returned the bed a short while later, not feeling at all satisfied with what he had eaten... but... the alternative, which had been so tempting before... was intimidating tonight, despite Jack's tempting smell drifting over him.
Biting his lip, Elmont forced himself to settle down and sleep.
Two hours later... he was awake again, his hungry gaze falling on Jack... once again... the man looked so warm and relaxed... Elmont bit his lip hard and turned over, hugging his stomach as it rumbled loudly... this cursed hunger! It was the most terrible thing! It made him consider things that no sane man would consider!
He closed his eyes and winced as the rumbling came again, shivering a bit.
He lay like this for a while, until he suddenly felt a light touch against his back, and a familiar voice spoke up, "Elmont... I can hear you from over there..."
Elmont sighed, blushing hotly. "Sorry for waking you Jack, I'm trying to get it under control."
"You can't... we both know you can't..."
Elmont blushed and rolled over to look at Jack, finding the small man being near him bitterly frustrating... every fibre of him ached with want to snatch the little man up and gulp him down to bury this awful hunger... but he resisted. "Jack... I can't help it..." he said, squeezing his eyes shut. "The hunger just... never goes off..." it wasn't like being human, where if you ignored hunger and set your mind to something else, it went off... this was worse... it never, ever let up.
"I know Elmont... that's why I want you to go ahead and do what it is you're longing for."
The man blinked, looking at Jack. "You... WANT me to?"
Jack nodded, "I don't want to see you like this any longer than I have to... so go ahead... and once this is all over... we'll never have to talk about this again." He smiled, "Okay?"
Elmont nodded, stunned that Jack was agreeing to this.
"Now come on... before I get cold." He said, his face cracking into a grin at the joke.
Elmont laughed softly, and gently took hold of Jack, sitting up. "Okay... if you're sure..."
Jack smiled, "It's a warm hammock for me to sleep in... where I don't have to worry about waking up sharing with bugs... I can cope."
Elmont nodded a bit, blushing. "Okay... hold your arms out straight above you then... that makes it easier for me." He managed a smile, trying not to lick his lips in anticipation as he brought the small man closer, the smell making his mouth water... it really wasn't as though he was smelling a man... it was for all the world like sitting over a plate of delicious, finely spiced, perfectly roasted meat after a long, hungry day... even better than that... he couldn't even describe how delicious and tempting it smelt.
Jack blinked as he was brought closer, and he SAW Elmont's pupils expand visibly as the man gave a long inhale... and he felt scared for a moment... but the knight managed to give him a smile, which reminded him who he was with, and he lifted his arms, as he had been asked, closing his eyes as the mouth opened and then there was just darkness... well in terms of what he could see anyway. In terms of what he could feel, it was quite another matter! There was saliva, more than he had expected... it soaked his clothing almost on contact! He was surprised... but then again, if the giants could down men so fast, chewing or not... they would have to be able to produce this quickly and efficiently.
In no time at all, he found himself starting to feel suction as Elmont started to gulp, and he winced as he felt his arms, and then head sucked into somewhere tighter... but it wasn't uncomfortably tight, somehow, despite knowing how slim the giant's neck appeared to him, the gullet could stretch to accommodate his form.
After that, he was surprised how EASY it all felt... somehow, he just slid, despite his awkward shape, and his only somewhat saliva-soaked clothing, each gulp drew him downwards so easily that it felt almost effortless! He found himself relaxing into it, just... noticing his surroundings as he moved downwards... at one point he was surprised to feel the heart so close that he was sure if he were a little larger he would have been pressed against it. He was a bit awed to hear the powerful thing working away as though everything was normal, despite his presence, but he was quickly distracted from the thought as he was pushed down deeper. He had always expected, when he had been fighting the giants, that their insides would be foul... crushing, reeking, and unhealthy... but... either Elmont was an exception... or he had been wrong... because whilst he was covered in slime... it all felt surprisingly clean. He was therefore IMMENSELY surprised when his arms were first pushed through a tight area, and he got a whiff of pine-scent.
He blinked... that was mad! Had he been mistaken?! But no... as the rest of him slithered through into the stomach and he flailed around in an undignified manner to try and get upright... he realised he had been right! There was a distinctive, yet faint smell of pine! Managing to turn himself over in the soft, slightly restricting area, he flopped with a sigh, and called up to Elmont. "It's possible that I may have gone insane Elmont... but... does it smell of pine in here?"

Elmont, who was in the middle of giving the biggest sigh of relief he had ever given in his life as the aching in his belly let up, paused as he heard this, frowning. "Pine? I don't see why it wou..." he paused, and then went bright red. "Ah... yes... it might."
"Why... would it smell of pine?"
Elmont sighed, "Jack, at the moment everything smells edible to me whether I'm hungry or not... I was embarrassed asking for this tonight so I tried to hold myself over by eating branches... I picked at a pine tree down by the river."
"Oh, I see," replied Jack, trying not to giggle, and just working to get into place properly instead, sighing as he finally got into a pleasant position, and let himself relax, his back now pleasantly following the curve of the stomach and letting him settle.
Elmont smiled widely as he felt this, and lay down again, pulling the tent 'blanket' over himself again, and moving as if to rub at his stomach... but quickly realising he couldn't... his armour on again blocked his attempts to do so.
Sighing softly, he just settled with relaxing instead, the heavy weight inside him making him feel so much better. He licked his lips, making sure to get the very last of Jack's flavour, and then he closed his eyes to just enjoy the warmth and fullness for a moment... it just felt so perfect.
He must have dropped off to sleep, because the next thing he knew, a thunderous cracking, splintering sound jolted him awake. He blinked, hunkering down immediately, fearing a lightening storm... but the sky was clear, and the ground was dry... there was no storm... so what had been the...? Hearing another noise, but this one more of a crash, he frowned, and sat up, looking around... there was an intimidating glow on the horizon.... that was not coming from the sunrise. Creeping through the woods, he flattened himself to the ground as he peeked over the hill's ridge at the egde of the wood, and gasped in horror at what he saw... an attacking force charging on the city! The sounds he had heard were catapults firing on the walls and drawbridge! The glow was coming from a multitude of torches and catapults being loaded with hot coals and other flaming projectiles!
